​Our Impact

Since 1989, The Shawn Gaffney Foundation has given more than $600,000 to support patients, families, and caregivers facing serious illness.

​

The Foundation established an endowed chair at Akron Children's Hospital. It funds scholarships for oncology nurses pursuing continuing education, helping them give young cancer patients the best possible care.

​

We have also proudly supported:

• University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center (formerly Ireland Cancer Center)

• NMDP (formerly the National Marrow Donor Program / Be The Match)

• TSC Alliance (formerly the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance)

• Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)

• Stewart's Caring Place
